With my expierence over the course of one year at this school, i can only suggest horrible. No teacher/parent relationship. When I asked the teacher on her professional opinion in how to help my child pay attention more, her only solution was pharmacological interventions. I am under the impression that positive behavior is never rewarded with the "color system" they have in place, unless there is a substitute. The secretary is less than helpful. And instead of simply calling the parent and asking questions, they assume and "investigate" I understand than not everyone is going to be truthful, But to imply the parent is lying about silly situations is beyond belief. First and fore most, this is a school that is funded and put in place to deliver an education to students. It seems to be trying to do everything but. I would never suggest this school to anyone.
The teachers really take their time with each student. They challenge the students that need more to do, but are patient with the kids that need a little more time. The school really flourishes as the entire Chambers Hill community supports every event. It truly is one of those schools where everyone knows everyone and helps each other out.
Wonderful staff and engaging curriculum. One of the best elementary schools in the entire district. Small classroom size and tenured teachers make this a true gem. We have our 6 and 8 year olds both enrolled and could not be happier with our experience!
So far so good. We just moved into this State in June so this is a new milestone for my son. I think my son teacher is wonderful however i do feel she could benefit froma teachers aid so she doesn't have to spread herself so thin with the kids who need a little more help in class.
