My son attended preschool last year and both he and I loved the program. The teacher, Mrs. Corkery and her aide Mrs. Whittham treated my son with love and respect. I honestly feel that he learned important skills for kindergarten and it wasn't just a glorified daycare. I look forward to sending my two younger sons through this awesome program!
I love our school. Our teachers and principle are caring and talented.
My own children, and now my granddaughter, attends this school. Our principal not only knows each child by name, but is on top of their individual academic progress. The teachers are fabulous, dedicated, and great role models. The national and regaional standardized testing results are superior. This school also serves those who are educationally challenged with respect and extra attention. There is a great community spirit of teachers, parents, and staff. This school incorporates Catholic faith and values in all its aspects.
St. Maria Goretti School has given my children academic excellence in an academy like atmosphere! I like that my children are given a strong set of Christian values with the Catholic faith on a daily basis. Our student's Terra Nova scores show that our school is preparing them well for high school. Our school has had several Neumann Scholar Award Recipients. Our graduates have gone on to attend both private prep schools, as well as Archdiocesan High Schools with much success. Our new computer lab is wonderful. There are opportunities to participate in Sports, Robotics, Yearbook, Choir, and Band/Orchestra. Our School sponsors annual events like Family Bingo, Basket Bingo, Silent Auction, as well as SMG Days at various businesses. We love our school and know the solid foundation in both academics and faith is the best investment we can give our children for their growth of mind, body and spirit.
I believe that my children deserve the greatest care at school. However I am disappointed. This school is very badly run and I think a management change is due. I want my children to enjoy a fun educational experience and I do not believe they are getting it. The only reason I am keeping them there is because they have friends and said they have made so good friendships that they will tolerate the principal and staff.
