H W Good Elementary School

The Teachers make this school Great and you can see this on the kids faces at school and when they talk about school!!

HW Good is an excellent school. The teachers are very involved with the students and in the community. Never before have I witnessed a teacher assosciation marching in the community's Memorial Day Parade! Wonderful! I only have 3 more years before my youngest enters middle school and I will no longer be involved with HW Good. I am not looking forward to that time as I think it is a very good environment for the children. I am one of the lucky parents in the district that gets a full 9 years of involvement with this great little school.

Although the Yough School District is generally thought of as an inferior district compared to others in the vicinity, based on my experience with H.W. Good elementary I can't agree with that assessment. My oldest son (who is in 5th grade now) has never missed a day of school because he really likes the teachers. They make learning so exciting and interesting that he says he doesn't want to miss anything. My younger child (who is now in 1st grade) also can't wait to get up every day! His kindergarten teacher was fabulous and he adores his first grade teacher, too. The principal really cares about the 'little ones' , as she calls them, and it's evident in her daily interactions with the kids. I wish everyone's elementary school experiences were as good as the ones my children have had at H.W. Good.

This is a wonderful elementary school. The faculty are very caring and educated.
