I went to Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School and I was glad that I did. Other area schools pale in comparison to the teachers, arts, sports, and all around environment of this school. I think with a bit more money put into updating the Science and Physical Education programs, this could be a top rated school.

Honestly this school is in dire need of updating to the curriculum, especially in the arts. The instruments used in any of the lab-based areas are very inadequate and are in high disrepair. Some serious reintroduction of standards are a definite. The faculty, however, is its only redeeming quality; but with sub-par tools at their disposal it is hardly the case that anything major can be accomplished.

I went to Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School and it was amazing. The academic programs are well provided for and challnege each student academically. The extracurricular activities and involvment are some of the best in the state. Parent involvement needs to be higher because I know a lot of students who's parents didn't care about their education or what their student's where doing in the schools.

This school has very poorly structured classes with very poorly balanced grades. Teachers refuse to reward student's work and effort with a percentage increase but rather allow said effort to wane and faulter when the set goal for said student is reached within said percent. This school needs some major work to get back up to standard.

Most teachers seem to have an attitude that they don't need to respect the children and are very rude to them. Yet they expect the kids to respect them. This seems to be known to the Administration yet nothing is done to improve the teachers' attitudes.
