Academically, we were pleased. Besides that, we found the place to be unwelcoming to outsiders, it had an overly institutional atmosphere and was quite repressive. Little out-of-the-box teaching styles and lots of 'this is how we've always done it.' My children had two teachers who were great but over all, we were less then impressed.

I really feel that Frankstown and the staff there care about the children and cater to a parent's specific needs. My son has attended 1-3rd grade there so far, and I've had tons of interaction with the teachers, principal and support staff in helping keep him on track.

My daughter, now a third grader, has attended this school since kindergarten. I am impressed with the student to teacher ratio. The class size is appropriate to give sufficient attention to each student. The parental involvement and participation in the various school activities is very high. Both moms and dads are visibly assisting in many school functions. The level of scholastic achievement, compared to national averages, is very good. My daughter is challenged but not overwhelmed. I like this school very much.
