Wonderful, caring environment that builds self-esteem, creativity, and brings out the best in the kids. No matter how different each individual child is, TQS finds their strengths and makes the most of them, and then with love guides the child to becoming their best self - confident, secure and proud. The teachers truly care about every student, treat each student with dignity and as an individual, and the students themselves boost each other and care about each other to the point that different classes and grades intermix at various activities and planned events throughout the year - your child may be in a class as small as 3, but they have a building filled with 70+ friends. TQS is also always in a state of positive evolution - better assistive technology, better research-based programs, they never sit back on "this is the way it's always done" ... if anything, they seek to bring the newest and most innovative approaches. They have worked nothing short of a miracle with the broken shell of a little girl I brought them 4 years ago - I now have a happy, confident, engaged child who loves school, loves her friends, and is proud of herself and ALL the things that make her unique.
Tremendous school. TQS has given my daughter the necessary tools needed to succeed in high school.
This is perhaps the top school in the area for students with special needs. Each student is treated with an individual program that a child can get nowhere else. A tremendous school!
Only good for children who have dyslexia. Other children who do not have a 'neat' diagnosis do not get their educationally needs met. Administration and faculty has changed frequently over the past two years and it has affected their program detrimentally. There are other schools who are better suited to fill the needs of children who learn differently. Make sure you check out the other schools and find out if they individualize their program to the student, not the curriculum.
TQS is a wonderful school. The staff is so caring and really works with the children. The parents are involved and very caring as well. We could not have made a better choice for a school. We are very happy with TQS and all it offers its students.
The entire staff at TQS is committed to helping the children succeed both academically and socially, as well. The environment fosters open communication, feedback and encouragement. It is truly a unique school!
