Excellent staff and the principal is a member of the community and knows the kids outside of the school as well as in school. There is a real family atmosphere and teachers are very willing to spend extra time with their students. The students consistently do well on the state assessments.

Having graduated from Jamestown in 2004 I have observed others currently enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh. It has come to my attention that the education offered at Jamestown is superior to many other school districts. It excels in both its writing and mathematics curriculums. Though the number of extracurricular activities may seem sparse, the quality of those offered is unmatched.

I've observed this school lacking appropiate discipline measures for students who are involved in drugs and alcohol use.
