Jenkintown High School

This school is really too small to offer the opportunities and advantages of a larger school. There are hardly any ap classes and after school activities are somewhat limited. The teachers are very nice and good at what they do, but they aren't anything out of the ordinary( aside from mr. hench) but the general population of Jenkintown leaves something to be desired. If your child(ren) are different in any way, they probably will not enjoy their time in Jenkintown.

My kids have gotten a wonderful education from top notch teachers who truly care. They have been well prepared for college with a challenging curriculum and opportunities. The small size presents some truly unique opportunities for teachers and students to really get to know each other and for all of the students to know pretty much everyone in their class - without sacrificing the academics or individuality.

I have had two children (so far) graduate from JHS. Each one has told me, on several occasions, how overly prepared they were for college - not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well. The teachers and administration are truly amazing in their knowledge and deep caring for the students. This is a private school with a public school cost and we are lucky to have this gem.

The teachers are great, in spite of what they have to deal with as far as the administration. The administration leaves much to be desired. They tend to do what they want, no matter what the parents and community want.

This is a great school with great teachers. They also have many programs and do EVERYTHING they can to make sure children understand their studies. This school is very warm and inviting. My kids say its like a home away from home.
