This is the best school, by far, in Chester County PA. My children have experienced both public school and St. Basil's. My husband and I are thrilled with the academic progress of our children at St. Basil's. The classrooms have been upgraded with state of the are technology. However, the school offers so much more. It has a fabulous art/music/theater program, Spanish classes and science and computer labs. Extracurricular activities include sports, Odyssey of the Mind, school play and community service. Teachers instill the same values we have at home. It is a true family atmosphere. I would highly recommend you come see this school for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

I have worked at St. Basil the Great Catholic School for many years and am proud of the dedicated Principal, teachers, and staff that we have. We are very fortunate to have supportive and wonderful students that make working here such a great experience. Personally, I love working with my students in the Pre-K 4 and do all that I can to make it an environment with the right mix of academics, social experiences, and physical activity.

I rate this school a five out of five. My husband and I love everything about this school. We have two children attending St. Basil currently and an older child who graduated. The teachers are excellent, the athletic and arts programs are wonderful, and on top of academics, the children are taught love, respect, service, and generosity through Christian faith and ideals. We pay tuition to send our children to this school and even though it is a sacrifice for our family, we feel it is worth every penny.

Can't say enough about the great Pre-k! It's energetic with the right balance between academic and social needs. I highly recommend this program but make sure to register early since it fills up quickly.

My child started in Pre-K at St. Basil's a couple of years ago in a wonderful class environment, where she learned so much! I highly recommend that program.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
