My child has attended the school for 2 years and loves it! The staff is excellent! They do an amazing job in keeping you informed of all the school events. There is always something going on keeping us busy and we wouldn't have it any other way! :-)
This school is fantastic. My children are challenged to absorb what they are taught and not just learn facts. There is a strong sense of community in the school. THe faculty are phenomenal. They really strive to meet the individual needs of the student. Class size is good. One of the things I liked is that there are activities throughout the year where the older childen are encouraged to be 'buddies with the young classes. THis is a school with the feel of a large family. Plus, many of the 8th grade students get scholarships to private high schools.
This school is terrific! We have 3 children in the middle of the summer who consistently ask when they are going back. We would encourage anyone who is interested to spend the time reviewing the website: www.mdpschool.com. There are so many layers of neat events throughout the year bonding the younger students with the middle school students. Currently the playground and library have are being upgraded. I also heard there is a new techology community outreach program for middle school age students. We could go on and on because this school has it all. The teachers are highly qualified and committed to each student's education. Your kids are safe, happy, and want to go to school. The values MDP offers makes it a bargain.
This is a good school to send your kids to if you live within the small area that is the school area, otherwise you'll pay until you bleed to send your kids here. They won't accomadate at all if you live outside the parrish area. Prices are the same for kids going to pre-K or Kindergarden for parrish members and non-members. But for grades 1 - 8 non-members pay substantionaly more.
