Wyoming Valley West Middle School

this school has bullies in it. one time this kid told me to re-arrange my face. I like how I walk home and met nice people on the way. My school can improve by teaching others that it's not good to be mean. you don't know....someone can just kill themselves because of bullies. the bad students DONT get punished enough. This school can also improve by MAKING the students not to smoke, drink, be all scummy. there rooms are so old fashioned. if I were you, I wouldn't want to go to this school unless your really popular or really rich.

Ive been going to this school for 3 years and im in 8 grade. :D The school is good but the caf. food stincks! its gross so if you plan on goin to the school at any point ummm pack a lunch i always do!!!!! but other wise its good and our band teacher is an AMAZING band teacher! BAND ROCKS!!!!!!! i'm in 1st chair!!!!!!!!! ;)

I have no problems wiht any of the teachers or leadership with our school. Parents have a responsibility to work with kids at home and discipline them, not the other way around. You get out of school what you put in it. The teachers at WVW middle on the whole are competent and helpful.

I believe there is also too much pressure with the PSSA. My son is having alot of trouble with Math and all they are concerned is that he does well in the PSSA. They tell me there is no tutoring for him at the school so he is slipping through the cracks. I feel it is the responsibility of the school and the parent. Where is the help from the school?

I feel the school is a good school, as long as your child does not have any problems. My child is having a hard time this year and last and I have had much difficulty getting these teachers to help out in any way. I have heard that many students fall through the cracks once they hit the middle school and beyond and now I can see what they mean.

This school is a great place. All of the teachers are very helpful when students have a problem. The teachers always care about their students and are always here to help us out. They take time to help us if we have a problem and work with us if we are having a problem with something. They are very helpful and I'm gald to be their student.

My daughter is a gifted student. We have seen very little, if any gifted support. Her GIEP is a joke. And the overall attitude of the school appears to be: 'we have so many students in this school, we don't have time to do anything different (GIEP) for just one student.'

but anyway teachers are fun and nice and have good ways to help teach. if you ask dose west have good sport teams well yea they do and the teachers and coaches are more like friends i hope this helps ya

As the parent of a 7th grade student at the middle school, I can say that his first year was a tremendous experience and success, and I feel this year will be no different. I found the teachers to be well qualified, willing to go the extra mile to help a student, and extremely cooperative when I asked their input or assistance. I find the leadership to be excellent, and down to earth, willing to listen and to take advice from parents. My child is a child of high honors with distinction, and came home with quite a bit of homework, but not unfair amounts. I believe that my child is getting an above average education at this school, and wish to extend my thanks to the teachers and to Mr. Tosh for their guidance and caring.

I believe that the Wyoming Valley West Middle School is a wonderful school to attend. The teachers are phenomenal and go above and beyond what they are paid to do. I think that anyone would enjoy spending three amazing years at this school. This is where students begin a bright future.

Parental involvement is minimal, honors academic programs are above average, there are many teachers that go above and beyond. This school has a terriffic music dept. esp.a full orchestra.

i think this schoo is great i have made honors every marking period. They teachers teach great and they are strict but it is always good to have them strict because you learn more when you arent fooling aorund. If you want your child to have good learning abilities go to Valley West.

I have been a student at this skool for 3 years now and overall it has been a good experience for me ... I guess ... Throughout the 3 years I have been on honor roll for every marking period except one! but if u want your children to have a good education this skool would be a good choice! ... the teachers are not extremely strict but discipline the students properly. -Jasmine Rivera

I have my doubts and reservations about this school. My daughter recently received distinguished honors and as much as I love her, I have to admit that she has very poor grammar and spelling habits. I don't feel as if she is receiving a proper education. May I also point out that the school's website has not been updated in over a year. I find it difficult to accept that the good citizens of the valley pay taxes for such a poor school administration.

I think the Middle School at Wyoming Valley West is great. My daughter has done great here. The teachers she has had are not easy and I think this is good thing. They teach the children to maximize their potential. They also have consequences for not listening or following instructions. This is a great thing, more teachers and schools need to guide our children in a like manner.
