Lake School is part of the Western Wayne School District. I found the school to be very family oriented and friendly. The teachers average about 20 years experience and are very diligent, local residents. Homework is light (which I prefer, as NOT to take away from family time), as the kids learn in class. Many sports and other activities readily available. The school bus system works with private activities ie: the school bus will bring your child to dancing/music school AFTER school, you pick your child up when private class is over. Computers class. Great reading programs. Sports & Music available for ALL kids. Art & Gym classes are twice weekly. Parental involvement is optional but is encouraged by the school. Principal, Guidance Counsellor and teachers are very fair, accomodating and kind. Class ratio approx 21 to 1. 5 classes per grade. Nice modern yet country setting.
