A good majority of these rating about CCA are about sports, which is just silly. Canaan Christian Academy has chapels every Wednesday, and I find the Bible classes to be very encouraging. The Lord is included in all the courses there. I wouldn't say it's the best school there is. At least we are allowed to worship God freely at this school, and the teachers teach the truth about creation. Some of the rules are strange, but they're not hard to obey. I've made life long friends at this school, and memories that have been etched into my heart forever.

I LOVE this school the teachers with help you in anyway they can. I'm involved in Basketball and I love it. my coach is the best, the team grows together in talent and our spiritual walk with God. all the teachers will help you in everything and I wouldn't want to go any where else

The school isn't THAT bad. The teachers can be hypocritical and there ARE many rebels that come out of that school, teachers expect too much from parents, they worry too much about basketball... well maybe this school has to get their priorities straight.. sad to say

Most of the complaints about Canaan seem to revolve around their sports program...as I rate sports very lowly overall in the quality of an ACADEMIC education I feel this is rather silly in rating the quality of a school. It is a small school remember and how much variety and participation in sports will you have when not every single student even gives a hoot about sports anyway? The teachers are very dedicated and excellent and their programs and variety of class offerings is improving all the time. In addition, the tuition is very, very reasonable compared to other private schools which allows even lower income families to send their children there. The school has been very supportive of my family during difficulties and the atomosphere is really nice. I feel very fortunate to have CCA in our community and that I can send my children there.

There are a huge amount of differences between our school and others.. I won't mention them all but our teachers are the best teachers around.. they care about each and every student that walks inside our doors.. they lend a hand to everyone. They care about all their students futures and spiritual life. This school is the best school .. and I would never ever go to a different one.. I love this school and and evrything it stands for.

I was a student at the school from 2000-2004 and loved every day of it. When I left Canaan, I felt totally prepared for college and life. Parent involvement is great also and they are trying to get more extracurriculars like vollyball and art.

the quality of their academic programs is considerably lacking. the availability of sports is limited to just basketball and soccer with no expertise in coaching in either sport. parents are very involved in the school, which is about the only complement i have for this school. it's too bad that so many parents don't realize that the education is not worth the money.

I am an alumni of the school and attended from k-12. Some of the reviews about this school are false. Also, if you knew the students who left those reviews, you would totally neglect most of the things they have said. Sports-wise, Canaan progably doesn't have the best program, but for the league they are in, they do pretty well overall. Concerning academics, Canaan far exceeds most of the area schools. If you are looking for a school that is top of the line in computer or shop, this wouldn't be the best place. But they do the best with what they have. Overall, I would say that Canaan prepared me very well for college and I am indebted to the faculty and staff for the wisdom they endowed to me. Overall, this is probably the most dedicated staff you will find in the whole area, they do an excellent job.
