I have been teaching at L-S for 23 years and I love the school. The kids are fantastic and it is a pleasant place to work-the community is great, the staff is super as well. :) There really is a sense of 'family' at L-S, which is talked about often. Many people move into our district because of the schools!

Several real estate agents told us this was the best district in Lanc. Co. for kids with special needs. However, the comment - 'If you're from another state they do not welcome you' couldn't have nailed it any better. Unfortunately, this kind of comment isn't limited to the L-S school district in Lanc. co. I've even seen similar comments in the local newspaper editorial section. And I have seen the treatment firsthand, even though I am originally from the area and moved back a few years ago to be closer to my ederly parents. BTW, it's not my kids or us. My kids are straight A students and starters on the sports teams and we're college graduates. I always thought of the area of a much nicer place growing up. I wish I knew what happened.
