The community at St Leo's is second to none. Academics are a top priority and excellence in education and moral formation is demanded of all students. I currently have three children enrolled and my wife and I couldn't be happier. The school has access to a lot of technology (smart boards, iPads, etc) which are comparable or better then most area public schools. Academics are very strong and faith is incorporated into all aspects of the school. Our children enjoy school and are challenge d in both academics and faith.

We would not recommend this school. It is very difficult to communicate with the administration about academic or personal matters relating to your son/daughter or family.

As a parent of three children that attended-and excelled- at St Leo the Great Catholic School--I heartily recommend for those parents that want a healthy, safe, demanding, Catholic/moral school environment!! The involvement of the Principal, Pastor and school board help make this a great school!

Some of the classrooms are lively and learning occurs but an intolerance of diverse views. Language arts is weak; the emphasis on sports is strong.

An incredible school. You are a part of a family here and the kids are challenged to live out their faith and to reach high achievement academically.

We love it here! Academics are wonderful. I can't imagine a better school for learning the faith (the knowledge AND how to live it out!). We really feel our kids are learning how to be holy AND studious. Very Christ-centered from the leadership on down. There's a strong "school family" feeling among the families. Lots of really inolved and strong moms and dads here to help each other along the journey.

We had a difficult year at St. Leo's. There are many kind families and bright students, but there are several problems. We found the curriculum to be uneven. In 6th grade, the language arts was primarily spelling (not much writing at all) and math was well behind what my son had completed earlier in public school. We also had a difficult time resolving any questions with the principal or the priest, who is actually in charge of the school. They frequently answered our questions in direct opposition to what the classroom teachers had said. We were concerned that the school is run by someone with no professional training in education--the priest. There is also a heavy emphasis on athletics, with little opportunity for music or art.

It was the best decision we've done for my 3 children. The teacher are great.

The best decision my husband and I ever made was sending our children to this school!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
