This is my son s first year at LGMS. For a private, Christian school, it has many extras and provides a well-rounded, strong education within an Anabaptist worldview that promotes tolerance, understanding for other cultures, and peacemaking. Their association with Lancaster Menno. School provides additional opportunities for students. It is well known for its learning support programs and has attracted many children who find it a better academic and social fit than many of the area public schools. I feel they could do more with accelerated learning opportunities; as anywhere, much depends on the individual teacher. They have plenty of financial aid and will work closely with your particular situation, but be prepared for constant (even compared to public) nickel and dime requests that add up quickly; budget for this. There is a high level of parental involvement expected and the staff treats each child as an individual and with integrity.
