School has really gone off the rails in the last couple of years. People are voting with their feet as kids (especially boys) are not returning.

If you seek the highest quality of education that is taught with sincere compassion for your child and his/her developmental level, look no further. The New School of Lancaster is truly a diamond in the rough, and quite possibly the best kept secret in the Lancaster area. The teachers are inspirational. The academics are competitive with the highest preps school around. Children who attend The New School are taught how to think rather than what to think or how to take standardized tests as in several other educational institutions. The teaching is child-centered and so it is customized to each child's current ability levels in each respective subject. It is a glowing example of how education should be and a true credit to the Montessori name. I send all of my children to this school, and consider myself most fortunate to have found this, The New School for my children. I strongly believe that there are very few gifts better than the gift of a quality education that one can give a child. The opportunity to attend The New School is most certainly one of the best gifts that I have given mine.

The school is excellent. It has really helped my grandchildren develop in multiple areas and directions, academically, artistically and socially. We are very grateful to the teachers and the administrative staff for creating such an excellent learning environment for the children.

Both of my children attend the New School and the environment has helped to shape them into compassionate, respectful and active learners. The curriculum is rich not just in academics but with an understanding of the world around them and their role in it. The teachers and staff are wonderful and truly believe in and care for every student and family that is there.

My son went here for preschool. I truly believe that this school's Montessori method and caring teachers is why he's so successful in school today. I am frequently recommending this school to all parents I meet who are looking for a great preschool.

We found the New School ideal for our daughter. She began in the pre-school program and continued through the second grade. The teachers are kind and nurturing; they provide kids a strong foundation and create a solid academic environment. The things we liked most for our daughter her teachers allowed her to progress at her pace. They made learning fun, exciting, and challenging. The teachers listen to their kids and provide individualized attention. Their teaching methods help develop self-confidence early on in all kids. I high recommend the New School. My daughter would continue there until the 8th grade but for the fact we are relocating to another state. Fund raising is one area of concern as the school does not have all the resourcse of the rich public school districts in the suburbs. But this is overcome to a large degree by the dedication of the teaching and administrative staff.
