We were welcomed by this school, my daughter transffered at the end of the year and the staff and children made it an easy transition for briana. She has attened the philadelphia schools and i must say there is a big diffrence in the way the schools are run and the staff is more kind and concerned about the children.

My two boys and I were new to the Lansdale area this past year (2008) and the principal and staff of Knapp welcomed us with open arms. We came from the Philadelphia School District where you were really only a number, not a name. My younger son never wanted to go to school, this year both my boys set out to achieve perfect attendance... And both achieved it! Kudos to Mr. Mazza and his wonderful staff.

My daughter just finished her second year at Knapp this year and we absolutely love the school, the teachers, principal and all of the fun activites that go on throughout the school year. It is a very diverse school so my kids get a chance to interact with kids from a variety of other cultures. The Principal truly cares about his families and isn't afraid to meet one on one with us even though there are over 600 other students requiring his attention.

My son attended this school through the second grade. He was bullied over and over. Their response was that he would have to learn how to deal with these bullies. I pulled my son out and put him in private school. This was the best thing for him. He now enjoys school, he enjoys the students and the teachers. If your child fits a perfect box then this school is fine, but if not I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

My oldest daughter started Kindergarten this past fall. She absolutley loves going to school everyday. The school helps make learning fun and she has thrived on learning to write and read in leaps and bounds. Her teacher always has a smile on her face and really knows how to connect with her students. The staff of the school is wonderful also. The principle really makes a effort to make that connection with the students as well. The office staff are sweet and kind and very helpful whenever we have ever had a question. I can say i am very pleased with my daughter's education experience.

I am a parent, but I also teach in a nearby district, so when I say that Knapp is a child-centered school, I know what I'm talking about! My husband and I could not be more pleased with the individualized attention our two children have received from the talented and dedicated staff!

So far the academics (language arts & math) have been a basic review. I'd like to see my child challenged more. Knapp offers testing for the gifted program. More communication from the school on this topic would be appreciated. The first graders have music twice a week, art and gym once a week, and there is a wireless computer lab with 26 laptops where the students go once a week. There are also 4 computers in every classroom. The school does plan many activities throughout the year for students and parents to get involved. Overall I am impressed with Knapp Elementary.

I love Knapp School. My daughter is now in 1st grade but in KDG her teacher recognized her abilities and recommended her for the gifted program. The teachers are willing to work with the students and encourage parental involvement, as does the School Principal, Mr. Feeley. They have many activities, fundraisers to help the school, and a wonderful staff at the school. I cannot say how much the staff have helped my daughter. Even the guidance counselor has been helpful and her short start at Knapp Elementary

This is an amazing school. The teachers and principal are great. They have great extracurricular activities and are well chaparoned. I have never seen a school where the parents get so involved.
