I definitely couldn't ask for a better high school. There aren't very many cliques, and we don't have the whole "football-cheerleader" thing going, which is incredibly nice. It's a small town school. Everybody knows everybody.

This school does well if your child fits a certain type of learning profile, that of a student who is average to above average at all subjects. However, if your child is exceptional in any way, high or low, gifted or in need of extra support, they fall short of the mark. They have been unable to support my child in the way that has been needed since elementary school. There have been some exceptional teachers along the way though.

There are a lot of cliques at this school so i would not suggest this school to anyone who is not used to joining a group. Students are pushed to their highest academic levels and teachers are great.

Excellent small school. Many AP options, very involved, caring teachers, and helpful guidance counselors.

As a parent and former student, I can attest to the quality education this school provides. Students attending this school are truly lucky. The classes are small, you get to know all your classmates. There great extracurricular activities. The teachers really care. It really challenges students to achieve.

I went to QV from kindergarten until graduation, and couldn't have asked for a better education. Small class size, high academic and extracurricular competition was fabulous. I loved that QV isn't your traditional football-and-cheerleader school, our class was small enough that I knew nearly everyone I graduated with personally. We also consistently performed higher academically than many of our peers at prestigious private schools, including Sewickley Academy. I also believe the laptop grants and advanced digital technology really prepared me for college, law school and beyond.

This is the best school in Pittsburgh. Caring teachers, strong student body, and tons of extra-curriculars for students. Students are extremely prviliged to go here.

As a previous student at Quaker Valley I believe the school is well managed and offers a quality education that proficiently prepared me for post-secondary education. The teachers take their jobs seriously and are amongst some of the best teachers I have had or observed. Quaker Valley is a relatively small school, therefore at no point was I ever overwhelmed by size or competition. The extracurricular activities are outstanding for how small the school is. QV has a long tradition of being highly competitive in most sports and activities.

Being in a high economic district, it does dot cater well to those of lower means. The quality of academic programs are exceptional but the selection in desitute. Extracurricular activites are abundent and very well pushed upon student to be involved in one. Class sizes are nice along with the teachers. Parental involment depends on the parents. Parents usual involvment is driving their teen to practice or an event at the school. The school is well know for its high academic standing.
