My son just finished kindergarten at East Penn at this was the worst experience we have ever had. From day one, nothing but problems and unprofessional comments from his teacher. I was expecting to send my son to a small school with roughly 16 students in his class. What I ended up with was a kindergarten class of 24 with no full time aide. I give the teacher credit for trying, however, her methods of controlling and keeping children on task are horrible. all they believe in his punishing and sigling children out instead of trying to harness their energy. Your child will do well in this school if they have little or no energy or just enjoy sitting and listening. I don't know many 5-6 years old who can accomplish this all day. Even after meeting with the teacher and Principal, there was never any follow through ontheir part. The head teacher there is absolutely a HORRIBLE woman who should not be allowed to be around children. Mean....and unprofessional when dealing with adverse situations. I truly have nothing good to say about our experience. My son went from being a child who loves to be around others and learn to hating school by the end of the year.

The Guidance Dept at this school is a unprofessional as they come. It seems their answer for every unfocused child is to medicate them. The Aids don't report incidents like they are required and the kids are pretty much unsupervised getting on and off the bus.. The parents get no feed back from the school what-so-ever other then fund raising literture. I could go on and on about the princepal, but it's not worth my effort. If you are moving to the Lehighton Area, avoid this school like the plauge,( Esp if you have a special needs child)

This school likes to single out students and parents. They never respond back to you when you try to address issues. Some of the teachers are helpful but for being a small school in a small community they should be more friendly and helpful. Glad my student is out of this school. The principal is the worst and rudest.

great experiences with this school! best elementary in my book! they really could use the funds to update things, but that doesn't compromise the quality of education or the caring staff!! Love that school!

There is only 1 class for each grade level 1st through 4th grade. If your child is advance or slow learner, they all learn at the same slow pace. Fundraisers are out of control. It seems like every few days the children bring home something to sell.

I am quite pleased with the implementation of a program for a special needs child with a reading disability. Instead of pulling him into a special classroom, he receives extra assistance as needed in the regular classroom setting. He has come along way with his reading and I feel if we would not of corrected this problem as early as we have, he would be much more behind.
