Emerson has been through a lot of changes over the years. Principals getting sick etc. the students and faculty at Emerson have played a great deal in the continued success in grades at testing at this school. Emerson could really use a boost to upgrade somethings, do additional required maintenence and continue educating and supplying the children with the things they need.
I love this school. To raise children you have to teach them at home also if you work with the teachers they will work with you. To say the teachers need to teach kids respect that is a parents job they do have a roar ticket when the kids are repectful so many of tickets then they get to do extra fun stuff at school. You need to read with your kids at home go over the work with them it comes home tests need to be signed. I have 2 kids in this school my kids had some great teachers Mrs. Cannon, Mrs Acker, Mrs Wenner, Mrs.Cargill and one teacher who is a staple of school Mrs. Casey is just wonderfull to keep teaching over 30 years and don't skip a beat she is great all the teachers are wonderful. Nice and fun art teacher. The secretary knows all the kids names great clubs ur kids can join in 4th grade and up. The pto could use some help but I can't talk about that cause I can't join myself.
my children have attended this school for 4 years now and my husband and I have not been pleased either. Multiple incidents of bullying to where the school seems to not know how to handle the situation. The school needs to get a better handle on the inappropriate behavior and start teaching the kids to respect each other, problem solving and social skills. unfortunately, there are not any options for parents who live in the district to have their child go anywhere else, even when paying $7,000 a year in taxes...not worth it at all...dont move to this school district
my child has attended this school for 3 years now and I have not been pleased at all. The level of education is terrible. Am in the proscess of finding a new school
It's a great school where students, staff, student council, and parents work together to create a successful, safe and fun educational environment!
