Being a parochial school, LHCS is not required to follow an IEP to the details a public school is expected to by the state. However, LHCS provides Title I Math and Reading, Speech services and has a counselor to meet student needs. When it comes to meeting individual student needs I believe that depends on the teacher. My daughter, so far, has had wonderful teachers who make it a purpose to provide her the supports she needs to be successful. I have heard of other teachers in the building who do NOT accommodate for children with specific needs. This school is NOT set up to meet the needs of students who may require high levels of support.

The academics at this school are wonderful. The students are friendly and kind and you always find a parent who is willing to volunteer their time. Unfortuately, leadership and supervision of students is inadequate during certain parts of the day. I have had some unpleasant personal experiences with the staff, also. Our voices are rarely heard when dealing with these actions. I am unsure if the children are benefitting fully from their school career.

My children have gone to LHCS since Kindergarten. The students experience a loving, nurturing atmosphere at LHCS. High standards are expected for all children and they do perform to these expectations! There is a team relationship built between the parents and the entire staff. We have never been more pleased with our decision to send our children here.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
