This school is wonderful. My children have gone to 3 of the 4 elementary schools in this district and Sugartown was absolutely our favorite. (the others are great as well) Everyone, from the principle to the teachers, to the lunch-ladies, to the office staff, were great and very nice. If there were any problems they were always willing to schedule meetings to discuss them. They listened and offered to do whatever was needed to best fit my child's needs.
I read the comments of the person who submitted a bad review. I suspect the parent who wrote that has issues themselves. Our experience has been different, and we are happy with the school and the district. The teachers are genuinely concerned about student performance, and most of them are highly qualified. There's a couple of teachers I've met that I'd prefer not to deal with, but that is probably true in every school district. I'm particularly impressed with the extra programs that the schools provide and the Principals that the time to make happen. I wish the public school I attended was half as good as what we have here.
Horrible school.Seemed great walking in the door&reputable. However if your child isn't perfect&I mean PERFECT you need to move! They were not sensitive to my sons needs when we first moved to the area&things escalated to the point that he hated going to school&didn't want to participate in class at all.He quickly became a victim of bullying&they didn't help him.It got to the point that he had to defend himself&then they started suspending him all the time for defending himself instead of getting to the root of the issue! They tried to force me to sign a form to put him in their special ed building. There's nothing wrong with him except he struggles w/being the new kid.For almost 2 years I fought to keep him in regular class!Didn't have these issues in other schools.BEWARE:there's A LOT of special ed staff in this district that need to justify their 80k salaries! You doubt?Google their staff&salaries.
Wonderful School, Great teachers, Great Principal!
Wonderful principal and wonderful teachers!
This is the best school. The teachers, principal, staff and everyone involved with this school are the friendliest, kindest people. The facility is top notch, the kids seem to just love being there. We could not be happier!!!
I am a parent of a Sugartown student and could not be more pleased. This school has just recently reopened and the facilities are amazing! The principal is kind, fair and involved. The teachers we have had are wonderful and knowledgeable and there are many programs this school offers too. Parents are able to be very active and are even invited to come have lunch with their child any time. It is a lovely school.
