While attending the Kindergarten orientation this year we were shocked. You CANNOT pick up or drop off your child at the Kindergarten Center. They must strictly be bussed.(NO teacher contact) & on a bus with middle school children at that. Im not comfortable with my 5 year old riding the bus with middle schoolers and feel it is highly innappropiate. When asked about the possible 'confusion' with so many kids on the busses, the lady giving the speach laughed and reassured us that last year, out of 200 kids last year, they only lost 1! Well, that's not a statistic a school district should be proud of. During this time the teacher said she would have told us more about the curriculum, but unfortunatly, 5 days before the start of school, she wasn't sure what it was yet. Also no recess or snacks. We have enrolled our child in private school.
