Robinson Township Christian School has far surpassed our expectations for our children's education! After talking to several families who highly recommended RTCS, we decided to send our children there. We are not members of the church associated with the school, but have found the teachers and faculty to be very welcoming and warm. The teachers we have met are enthusiastic and caring. The best part is our children actually find learning "fun" at school! I feel good knowing that our kids are in an environment that promotes Christian values and has high academic standards. We look forward to our children growing up at RTCS.
Language and literature instruction in the middle and upper grades is above average. Science instruction is weak. There is no one even remotely qualified to teach biology, chemistry and physics in the middle and upper grades. They just make do with what they have. The school shares a building with a church (Providence PCA). This is a handicap that is hard to overcome. With such a small student body, if you are not a member of that church, you are really not "in" the school. It is not a reflection of anything uniquely bad about the people. It is just a situation born out by sinful human nature in general. It is a situation that would probably exist anywhere. They need their own building.
Robinson Township Christian School is one of the very few Christian schools in the greater Pittsburgh area committed to a distinctly Christian world and life view from the Reformed and Presbyterian perspective. Offering preschool and K-12, it seeks to provide an academically strong education in a loving environment that is consciously Christ-centered and Bible-believing. A strong curriculum is supplemented with opportunities in sports and theater and other fine arts. More than 30 churches are represented in the student body. The teachers are committed Christians with exceptional teaching skills who genuinely take a godly interest in their students.
Robinson township christian school is the most wondeful place our children have ever attended! both our children went to public school for a couple years and were miserable. They started going here and within an hour they were totally different kids...They love learning abut god and jesus, enjoy being in a small class of 8-15 kids..The teachers are personable, loving and they feel safe and well-cared for in ways they never felt in a public school setting. We are thrilled with the school and plan on keeping our kids there for their entire school career. Our public school is very well known for its high academics, but it doesn't even come close to the quality our kids are receiving here ar rtcs. Our kids are thriving here in this unbelivable environment..We recommend this school to anyone looking for a christ centered environment for their children!
Excellent School...quality teachers, loving, personalized attention from the entire staff...our boys love the Christ centered education, the small class size, the feeling of being important and being a part of such a wonderul and unbelievable place....we would recommend RTCS to anyone looking for the best private school.
