This school has been a HUGE disappointment. The work load for the kids is ridiculous, the staff is VERY rude, and the principal and counselors do not follow up on problems. They are too concerned with test scores, appearances and their reputation, to actually take the time to listen to and care about their students. I will never recommend this school district to anyone, and regret moving here. It is overpriced and overrated.

This school is the best. The administration and teachers love kids and the academic demands are high, but fair.

Academic program quality is excellent. The extracurricular activities are plentiful and well run. Parent involvement seems to be above average. We have been very pleased with PT Middle School.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Pennsylvania used the Pennsylvania System of State Assessments (PSSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 11 in math and reading, in grades 5, 8 and 11 in writing, and in grades 4, 8 and 11 in science. The results for reading, writing, science and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.
