I would not recommend this school district. If I knew it would turn into what it is today I would have never moved into this school district. My children have been honor students and then some. One is still in high school. But the opportunities are slipping away all the time and they want to take away even more now. Please for your children's sake move into a better school district this this one. Do the research before you buy!

Our high school has many problems and it seems they take sports more seriously then school. All sports make fun of each other and cause conflict. They also vandalize other sports' equipment. All the girls teams get put last too. I feel like the teaching methods ONLY IN THE HIGH SCHOOL aren't satisfactory. They complain about their salary, half of the younger teachers get in "moods" because of personal problems and it effects our learning. Many schools may have similar problems but I would suggest Kutztown, Fleetwood, or even as far as High Point Baptist Academy.

It sounds to me like the negative reviews here are emotional reactions from parents to something recently that may have happened to their child and not rational critiques. If you care about your school and your community do not scare families from moving here simply to vent frustration. I have been through engineering school and law school; and compared to my collegues, the education I received from Brandywine Heights was superior to most (although Rockland Elementary may have been key in my formative years). To those who compare it to other local schools, the grass is always greener on the other side, and you would surely find similar problems there as well.

They are in need of help. If you are thinking about moving into this school district look at the surrounding districts first.

although our school is known for excellent sports, a fine art and music program, and honor students, attending this high school is unbearable. the schools counselors are unreliable, they send students applications for certain things, such as college applications and transcripts late. Our administration may say that they our here to help students, but clearly do not. We have a no bullying tolerance here at our school and i feel as if nothing is being done about it. I know a number of students who have problems with bullying and the administration know about it, but nothing is being done. They wait until something happens before their eyes and accuse or falsely accuse students. Nothing is done right away because our school is worried about other things such as a school dress code violation rather then someone's educational enviornment being threatened.

My grandaughter recently transferred to BHSD. It has been a most enjoyable experience for her and I both.
