Since we have a new principal the school has gotten alot better. I think it was more the principal's fault. But now things have gotten so much better. She listens to you and tries in evry way she can to help. I noticed that with the new pirncpial things are getter sooooooo much better.

Academic programs are great...reading incentive, Success maker, ensemble, band, OM, sports, lots of family fun nights, and more. The parents here are very involved, volunteering all the time, and they are a very friendly bunch of people!

My sons have been in the district for 7 years. There academics programs, especially the reading program (Wampum), is fantastic! There are all sorts of things to get involved in, athletically and musically, and the parent involvement is high.

My daughter has attended DVES for four years now and every year there are more and more issues that arise. I was told first hand that she would not amount to anything and was informed that I should reconsider having her in the teacher's class. Unfortunately, my child is bi-racial and I feel that the school is extremely biased because of this. I have spoken to another bi-racial mother and have found that my feelings were mutual. The school has a hard time following any requests from the parent and instead do as they please. It is extremely hard to set up appointments with the teacher and/or principal and have even been denied one. It was suggested that an appointment would not be the best idea. The school has treated my child very poorly and have no concern for her.
