i went there when i was a child and i loved there more than any other school i ever went to. I now have two children, one whom graduated from monaca and the other still in monaca. They both loved the school and all of their teachers so much. The teachers there are great and the school itself is just wonderful!

Janet Lord is a wonderful teacher. She is a typical mom. whose son actually doesn't attend monaca but does play football for monaca. she is an amazing teacher. my daughter always is coming home from school to tell me what wonderful expirience her daughter has had with Mrs. Lord.

Monaca Jr. Sr. High School is a wonderful place to be. Even though education is extremely important through out high school, getting to know people is also a great aspect of one's high school experence. I'm currently a Freshman at MHS and I can truly say that I personally know over 95% of our school body and I wouldn't trade this experience for anything.

Most of Monaca's teachers cater to the average or below average students. There is very little to challenge the minds of the more intelligent students. With no AP classes and only few elective choices, the curriculum leaves something to be desired. This year, it seems as if the school is conspiring to make sure the students don't get an adequate education. Teachers are constantly missing from classes because of merger meetings, and the adminstration seems more concerned with 'socially integrating' Center and Monaca students than with academic pursuits.

It's a wonder anyone who went to Monaca makes it in life. The school is terrible. The center theme is to just teach enough to get by. I wouldn't wish a MHS education on my worst enemy.

I think this school has wonderful teachers and students. In the past discipline was a problem but with the new principal, I feel that the discipline problem is now under control. I don't feel that we need to merge with any one else. A very wise teacher once tole me that what makes a community is it's churches and it's school. Take the school out of Monaca and what do we have?

For a small district, the education is not too bad. They are limited by resources, just like any other small district. Look for merger in future.
