My 4th grader went from scores in the 90's on her standardized achievement tests when she entered in 2nd to average levels after spending two years in this school. Kids spend a lot of time in front of TV & movies during school hours. Teachers in other grades are very supportive and loving with the children, but the academics tend to be weak in some areas. Dress code is too liberal and doesn't promote the disciplined atmosphere you would expect in a Catholic school.

Not being catholic, we were initially worried about sending our child to St. John's. He started part way through the year in kindergarten, and he fit right in with the other students! Everyone there is kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. He is in third grade now and has received a great education! I feel St. John's offers a more challenging course of study than a public school and has the staffing to offer more personalized care and education. Our son goes to mass, receives religious education, and has never been made to feel 'left out' by not being catholic. St. John's is a wonderful school; it was the best decision we made concerning our son's education!
