I found Rhema Christian School to be less than satisfactory. This school is incredibly small and does not have the technological resources to help students progress in a developing world. Initially the staff seems to be well educated, but there are so few resources that students miss out on what a public school can provide. Also, with an aging staff, I found that students aren't receiving new, exciting, and thought provoking instruction. I understand that Christian values are what some families look for in their child's education, but I cannot justify sacrificing academic opportunities to receive instruction from this school. I know that the intentions from the staff are good at heart, but the professionalism and academic "know-how" are lacking. With the education area surrounding Rhema, I would strongly consider sending your child elsewhere and providing a strong Christian education at home and through your own church.
My family is so impressed with the education our children are receiving.
because they are really interested in the Students and the fact that they are a Christian School means that they are upholding Biblical Foundations which we so sorely need today.
We were not happy with Rhema Christian School overall although the Principal was a good man.
I would rate RCS as a very good school overall and one that I would recommend highly to Christian parents. My wife and I have been very pleased with the RCS experience our three sons have had. Our two younger sons are still at RCS, while our oldest is a junior in the public school system. He is doing exceptionably, well as most RCS graduates do. RCS academic programs are of high quality as are Fine Arts and music(band and chorus). Athletics, especially basketball and soccer, gets high priority.Historically, parental involvement has been very good in short term commitments, not as good in long term commitments. However, this seems to be changing as the Board now has 12 very commited members, each with specific responsibilities.Rhema Christian School is a very good school. However, just as we Christians are, RCS is and always will be a work in progress. S.Schroeder
I've had two children at Rhema. This school has an excellent academic focus coupled with an equal focus on Christ, thus, it is not a school for those families that trivialize or minimize the role of Christ outside of the classroom environment. The academic program will ensure your children are more than well prepared for high school. Parental involvement and accountability is expected, and feedback on the educational progress of your child is proactive and immediate. Children are challenged to exceed their perceived limitations, while being fully supported by a caring faculty and highly qualified teachers. Classroom materials often include content only found at higher grade levels in non-private schools, but is integrated in such ways that the children can master the subject. My first child transferred from another Christian school and the differences were substantial in all areas. If you're committed to Christian education this is your school! Proverbs 22:6
A committed school with active parents eager to help. The quality of teachers enhance the school - my first grader enjoys each day.
God has blessed each child with specific gifts in learning. For some it might be the ability to learning through words, for others... through picture, for others... through music. In fact, there are at least 7 different types of learning. Rhema is excellent at teaching all the different types of learning. This way, each child will be able to develop their gift of learning, and have the academics taught in a way that will impact them the greatest. The result is an unbelievable learning experience for your child. Is it tough? Absolutely! Is it fun? You bet! But what a great mix.. to enable your child to have fun while at the same time learning at an incredible rate. Parent involovement is very high. There are numerous opportunities to participate and enhance your child's eduaction.
Rhema has been a tremendous blessing for my children. The God-centered curriculum is both academically rigorous and engaging for the students. The entire staff is committed to teaching in a Christian environment. They are not only well qualified, but extremely passionate about teaching. Being a member of RCS is truly like joining a family. We have formed lasting friendships within the Rhema family.
Yes hello I'm not a parent, I was actually a student for 9 years I would first like to say that the elementary school is outstanding they do a fantastic job. I would like to add one thing though if your child has ADD or ADHD I wouldn't recomend Rhema i would go with Eden Christian Acedemy and actually I really enjoy great enviroment and the best thing is they don't single me out for having ADHD well as parents its your choice. My opinion for Rhema is that the elementary and early education are amazing especially Kindergarten but its all up to the parents Junior High just wasn't a good enviroment for a boy with ADHD
