well for 6 months my child has had issues staying on task in class and completing work and even at times disrupting the other kids in the process, I consider this a behavior problem and yes child has been tested for everything and is just fine except needs to be put in his place by teacher and have consistent discipline while in school or at least something more than what they are doing because I do not have any of these problems at home and he is a fun and joyous child to be around. I have been dealing with school and they ignore any suggestions I recommend. last meeting with them (been over 6 months since this was brought up and still little has been done by the school) the VP sat next to me and messed around on Facebook the entire meeting.
The faculty and staff are outstanding. My daughter's kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Brown is just wonderful and my daughter is learning math and reading while having fun. I recommend this school to everyone, the student/teacher ratio is a huge selling factor.
My daughter started at this school in grade K. She is now in the first grade and loves the staff and the other children. THe school is the perfect size to have your child maintain their own identiy while learning in a group setting.
My son attended STS from kindergarten through eighth grade. He is now 24 and in the Doctor of Clinical Psychology program at LaSalle University. STS gave him a great start. The teachers did everything possible to make learning an enjoyable and profitable experience. When you are working with a learning disabled student and take the time to make sure you reach him, that is dedication. Being able to talk about faith and God is another plus. I am still involved in the school and see so many good things happening that I am encouraged about the future of our children.
