I have 3 of my 4 children still in this school , and I believe we have some of the best teachers who go out of their way to help our kids..
I think newport elem. school teachers (having worked with them )as an aide in the past are the MOST wonderful, caring , aggressive group of teachers ! they truly care about their students.
I attended Newport Elementary school when I was a kid and I knew this is where my children should attend. Recently, our district is taking on some HUGE financial burdens and our school could really use the money. The teachers are all wonderful and really care about our kids. We are very lucky!!!
My daughter is only in third grade, but I really like the school district. From the time she was a baby, she received age appropriate books each year on her birthday sent by the school to prepare her for kindergarten. I would like to see a girls soccer program put into place at some point, but on a positive note; they have a wonderful summer program as well as a after school program for the students to participate in. Mr. Musselman is a plus too....great guy!
I attended school at Newport and now my nieces and newphews attend. I also went to school with many of the staff there now. It is a great school and I know that they are very dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the children there.
I am a parent of two children that both have Learning disabilities. The whole staff have made it much gone out of their way to help both of them have positive learning experiences
Newport is a good school when it comes to academic programs, but with sports it isn't the greatest. Some of the teachers are a little too harsh with their students, but at the same time some of them are extremely nice.
