This is a wonderful PK-8 school, providing an excellent academic base while emphasizing good values. As an independent school they have more flexibility in teaching and are not required to "teach to the test , and are able to present diversified views. Students are continuously challenged and stimulated with a broad range of projects, oral presentations, writing, discussions, as well as team building projects and trips. The school emphasizes oral and written communication skills from a young age which is apparent when you visit. My daughter entered in kindergarten and was rather shy. By the time she graduated from 8th grade she was an extremely confident individual who had been in various leadership roles throughout the years. Her confidence with oral presentations was amazing, and her writing exceptional. My younger daughter has been there for seven years and is excelling in many areas. She has also loved school and never wants to miss a moment. She has a great foundation that will serve her well in the years ahead. The teachers are very dedicated and truly care about the students. NFS offers a very nurturing and accepting environment for students. Overall, a great school!
