PCA has been a remarkable educational experience for my son. The combination of a high quality education, skilled & caring teachers with the foundation of Christian values makes this school ideal for our family. We love the school community of teachers, students & parents working together to prepare this generation for a successful future.

When I took the tour of PCA in March of 2008, I knew this was the school for my sons. My youngest son attended a private christian school for Kindergarten and I was looking for another Christian school to transition him into. My oldest son was an honor roll student in a Philadelphia public school and I was concerned about how he would adjust to the smaller environment and rigorous academics at PCA. The teachers at PCA are wonderful and the transition has been great for both of the boys. If you are looking for a great school with an excellent academic program, a strong spiritual emphasis and teachers who care about the students and know them personally, then PCA is for you!!

My daughter is a recent graduate of PCA and proved to be very well-prepared for high school - honors classes! PCA teaches one year above traditional grade level so it is challenging for students (and parents) but well-worth the investment, academically and spiritually. Teaching and learning is done in a 'peaceful, loving and kind' atmosphere, where children are taught to mediate conflicts according to biblical principles. Profanity is not tolerated; uniforms are required. Families who enroll their children at PCA immediately become part of a loving and supportive community of believers. I would urge anyone who's looking for a well-rounded academic program, including physical education, sports teams, art, music, computers, and Spanish to check out PCA.

PCA has been a wonderful experience for our family so far. The teachers are caring, patient and do a wonderful job instilling academic as well as spiritual principles in the children. The children are loving towards and concerned about each other. There is a lack of diversity in the teaching staff. I believe that this sometimes can present a sense of insensitivity in certain areas for some children. I believe that this allows us as parents to look at the heart of people and not to be so quick to judge. PCA instill strong foundations in the area of math, reading and scripture in the primary grades.PCA promotes leadership qualities and allows the children to have confidence in themselves. I have found that parents are very supportive in all activites and events, but not much in attending the meetings. PCA is where we hope to stay for the next 7 years.

The teachers are sincere about wanting children to learn both spiritually and academically, however the matriculation of language-based and ethnic minorities lags behind their majority counterparts. Also the ratio of these minorities as teachers (including male teachers) is not in proportion, or close to the ratios in the enrolled population (eg. 42% students of color, but not 42% of the teachers are of color, or 38% male students but not 38% of the teachers are male). Upon further review, a bias and perhaps even a subconcsious prejudice can be inferred from teaching and grading methods and matriculation rates when contrasting males to females and different ethnic groups. I believe majority females will do better than all others at PCA.

The academic curricular is of high standards. They are lacking in the area of extra curricular activities. Sometimes the class sizes are small depending on how many students are enrolled in the particular grade. The class size for the middle school are usually always small. Parent level of involvement is wonderful. They have an open door policy and welcome parent involvement. They really do teach the bible to the children as well.
