Most staff lacked interest in students. Did not prepare students for college education. Guidance department made no useful course recommendations for anticipated major of interest. Science and Mathematics education is non-existant. Administration more focused on disipline and sports promotion than education.

I gratuated from Palmyra and thought it was the best school for my children. It has changed. If you are the upper class of Palmyra, your children will have a good education and be treated fair. If you are the lower class of Palmyra, YOU and your children will be ignored and tossed aside. It is a shame the difference in education given at Palmyra.

Palmyra High School not only prepared me for life post hs, but also for college, where I graduated with honors. I found that Palmyra's criteria for the graduation project, were seemingly rediculous at the time, actually better prepared me for writing term papers than other school's less rigorous standards. I think Harbaugh is doing a great job as principal, she puts a lot into the school because she actually cares about it after working there as a teacher. Because of her teaching experience, she also has the ability to understand a teacher perspective, and doesn't seem to treat them like lessers, which a lot of principals have a habit of doing.

I had 2 children go through the Palmyra Schools. Both did very well academically and were well prepared for college. Dr. Harbaugh is an excellent pricipal and involved with the students and runs a safe school. My children had many good teachers and various activities to get involved with.

I attended Palmyra Area High from 1995-1999. I received a thorough well rounded educaiton. I was very prepared for college after graduation and they offered great music and sports programs. All the resources I ever needed to be successful at school were available to me. Parent involvement was encouraged and they were kept aware of my progress throughout my years in attendance.

I'm not a parent, rather a recent (2000) graduate of the Palmyra School District. I am currently in my fourth year of college and I am doing extremely well. When talking with my classmates, especially during general education classes such as biology, chemistry and math (calculus,) I came to find that I was much more prepared than they were. For instance, the calculus that I took here at college was not as challenging and did not cover as much material as the calculus I took with Mr. Boyer! College is by no means easy, but I must say that my education from Palmyra High School made my college experience easier.
