I had several issues with Vanguard that ulimately caused me to withdrawal my son, and enroll him in our local high school where is doing exceptionally well. The issues pertained to Vanguard's focus on education, professionalism in the classroom, communication of expectations, dissemination of information, and discipline techniques. My attempts to deal with these issues through the principal were ignored. While Vanguard did teach my son acceptance, and tolerance (valuable lessons) he is now happy and performing extremely well both academically, socially, and with resounding positive reviews from all his teachers at this new high school.
This school is not nice at all. The teachers i got here are very mean. I wish i did Unschooling. Also I didn't really like my old school much. Please parents don't send your child there if you like alternatives. I hope you like my revew.
The Vanguard School gave my son the social and academic skills he needs to succeed in the world. The difference in him is phenomenal. Truly, this is the best school of its kind in the state, possibly on the east coast.
