i attended this school from 6th to 9th grade. i repeated 9th grade twice. but even with that the staff are full of disrespectful NTA'S that have nothing better to do than argue with children. Of course there are a few children that handle the staff with caution. some of the curriculum is good some isnt

i moved from the suburbs into the city. although this wasn't my first choice this was the only charter school that had room to take both of them. to say that, Im moving my daughter who is in the 10th grade out after the first yr. The school counsel is the worst I had ever seen. The school dist we can from looked like a privet school after dealing with this lady. For months I called her to get info about transferring my daughter with n success. I had to go make the changes I need myself. please look more closely where you children are goin to school. They would have been better going to a public school.

WCCS has a staff that is dedicated to the education of its youth. They give of their personal time and money. The students are challenged and they respond energetically.

My daughters is in the 9th grade at World and this is her first year. i talk with her daily for updates on how her day has gone. My daughter has nothing but great things to say about World. She enjoys her teachers and she enjoys her classmates. She is really excited about the classes she will be taking also. So as for me and my child......so far so good!

My daughter is an 7th grader at WCCS. I have run into a few challenges with the Principal and his assistant who is very unprofessional. However my daughter teachers are great. they challenge the children and always lend a hand to help. So overall academically the school is good, but with a principal and assistant principal that run this school, I am unsure how long this school will be a good one. I will update my post Half way through the year..

As a teacehr and educator at WCCS I would like to respond to the numerous negative remarks about WCCS. Like many schools, WCCS does not run perfectly, however our academics, which are stringent, are adhered to by the teachers who work here. Teachers challenge our students and are here long after school hours to help those students who are struggling to reach the required 80% to be considered passing. Our encore program functions as an extra class students can attend to obtain any help they need. Depsite the kinks in the system, WCCS takes extreme care to follow academic standards and our discipline policy is adhered to by our Dean of Students. This is truly a safe place for children to learn and the teachers here go above and beyond to help those students who want to be helped.
