Taggart has improved a lot under the new administration. The teachers make do with what is given, which admittedly is not a lot considering it is a Philadelphia public school. Still, Taggart offers many different courses, music, and all. The students who do well seem to do very well and get great grades, but some students are not involved per lack of parental guidance. This school could use a stronger PTA and community involvement.
This school is great after the turnings of the new principal. But some of the teachers misunderstood students; And some give grades depending on the student's looks or appearances. And some teachers don't care to help the students! Its either the teachers are excellent, or horrible. And I wouldn't mind if the school was a little bit cleaner.(Lots of writings, smudges, stains, on the walls..)
School is in great need of a major overhaul. Staff is quite reactionally instead positive responses. Children are not feeling safe and understood. There is a major element that is missing at this school.
