Conwell is such a great school. Now there are some Pros and Cons of the school like any other school. The Pros are: This school will get you ready for the upcoming years in high school. I just graduated from this school and I am going to Central. The teachers here will help you out in so many ways possible, the teachers do not want the students to fail. The students help other students out so they can become stronger academically. I went to this school and have leraned so much. You buld a family with the students and teachers around you. The teachers are not only teachers but are also your friends. Now the Cons: Even though this school is an excellent school academilcally, it is not in a great area. There have been a couple fights in the school. There is some name-calling. But in my opinion if you mind your own business and be yourself, you will not have a problem at this school. So overall, this is such a magnificent school, and it is a true priviledge to come here.

Conwell is really great school. It may not be in the best neighborhood but the Recent Princible (Mr. Hoffman) is really great at getting the kids out and he tells them to go right home and come right to school! I'll miss MR. Hoffman, this year he retired now we have a new principle. I don't know her that well yet.... But I'm sure I will. My Name is Lianna Enggasser and I will be a 8th grade student at conwell in sept. 2011!!!

My daughter will be graduating from Conwell this year and I regret ever sending her to this school. In order to keep the funding they recieve they do not report or suspend violent children. There has been several instances of bullying, threats and actual fights that the principal and teachers do not give the attention it deserves. By doing that they fail the children. Its insane what these kids get away with in this school. But since there are no major behavior problems reported in that school they can boast about thier blue ribbon. One parent that I have befriended actually had to press a personal complaint and take a another student to court for bullying in juvenile court because the school would not take action. Thats just sad.

This is my daughter's first year attending this school and I noticed her personality blossom. She went from a very shy girl to a happy and confident young lady. It really brought out the best in her within a few months and she loves it. She said that her teachers explain things in a way other teachers couldn't and it makes it easier..however, this school is in a horrible area. It's very dangerous and they will not provide yellow bus service. They expect children as young as 10 to take buses and the train. They also admit children with behavioral problems.

I am a parent and I agree with the other parent who said this school has MAJOR disciplinary problems that are swept under the rug. I feel that because of the acceptance of children that are frequently misbehaving you are putting your own child at a GREAT risk by enrolling.

I am a 7th grader attending conwell and I think it is a great school. Our teachers make it very easy to understand and when test time comes around we have no problem. I am not a straight A student but I know I could be with the excellent help I have been provided with by Miss. Golub, Mrs. Fatuzzo, and Miss. Hundley etc. Also the extra-curricular activities are great and give students a chance to enhance their social activity. I definately reccomend conwell to parents
