This school has alot of new teachers and I think they are great. The principal is great in doing her job too. I just hope they give more training to the non teaching staff. Also, I hope they allow parents into the school's annex to drop off their children.

Morton School Is now under control. In our hallways we now have safety patrol,We have lots of after school activities such as: Education works, Power Hour, Student Council, Book Club, Choir, NewsPaper, Queens In Training And Lots more.We also have in school activites such as: Ballroom Dancing, Peer Mediation, and Amongst Men. SO BEFORE YOU JUDGE OUR SCHOOL THINK ABOUT ALL OF THE EDUCATIONAL VALUE THAT OUR SCHOOL HAS TO OFFER.

I am a retired tired teacher who has worked for over 25 years in the Philadelphia School District. In November of 2009, I began to work part time at the Morton Elementary School. I am really impressed! The new Morton School with Zena Sacks as principal has quiet hallways, classrooms where teaching a learning is taking place, with all of this being accomplished by a competent and caring, administration, faculty and staff. The atmosphere is positive, and inviting with beautifully decorated walls and classrooms. The control and behavioral management of the students is compassionate and corrective, rather than punitive. According to the teachers and staff member with whom I have spoken, Mrs. Sacks has done a wonderful job in her short time at Morton turning the school around. Please ignor any bad reviews of the Morton School and come and judge for yourself.

My daughter attended this school for two years and I couldn't stand the way SOME of the staff had such a layed back attitude about things. It seems that most of them are there just for a paycheck, and couldn't care less about the gaining control of the school. It's like a zoo when u walk into this school! There seems to be only a chosen few teachers that really care about the children's education.
