In today's society where diversity is such a competitive advantage, STA's current "stage" plays home to a rich cultural woven tapestry. However the school has yet to tap into that pipeline. They cannot develop and/or effectively master it. This is evident when you can still see how their student body is socialized amongst themselves and that it does not raise any red flags amongst the administration. Over the last few years the school has significantly changed. The administration has been concerned more about collecting fees, raising costs than ensuring that the children can properly construct a well written essay by the time that they graduate. The administration that has been in place during the last few years have been more concerned with growing dollars than growing future leaders.

We moved to Philadelphia in 2007 and I sent my kids to St. Thomas Aquinas School. The teachers were good, supportive and thorough. They inspired our kids to study hard and to achieve excellence. Although the school has diverse students, the sense of community and belonging was so strong. My kids fitted in right away and made friends not only with kids in their grade levels but with older kids in upper grade levels. The values that we teach to our kids are greatly reinforced by the catholic education they are getting from St. Thomas Aquinas. I strongly recommend STA to any parents in the Philly area who want their kids to achieve academic excellence and learn the right values to become a well-rounded individual.
