Really bad school, I had no idea that they had so many violations.....my kid was going to this school last year, got a call from the teacher one day that the cops are coming to shut the school down, come immediately to get your kid.... just fake assurances, since then, the school has not opened up, and I am not very optimistic about my refund. Please stay away from this school

My son went to Wynnefield Academy for 1 academic year (Pre-K). The teacher taught well above grade level. My son learned a lot and is now progressing beautifully in his Kindergarten program. The school challenges the children to work hard and strive for success. The only issue is the cost of the uniforms. You are restricted to buying them at one location and it is pretty pricey.

My child attended Wynnefield Academy for 4 years and and I am very pleased with the academic performance of the school. My child is an 'A' student who is woking above grade level, I highly recommend Wynnefield Academy. Wynnefield Academy is on target academically.

My child has been a student at Wynnefield Academy for four years. She has tested two levels above grade level in reading. I am very pleased with the academics at the academy. I will miss the school however will continue to have her to sing all three verses of the Black National Athem that she learned at the academy.

The academic program is excellent.Homework seem alot in the very beginning, However as time go on children learn the process. My child can compete with others. The tuition is very low. In fact I paid much more for preschool.

My child attended this school for 3 years and needless to say they are not equipped to run in the 21st century The building has not been upgraded since they opened, and they don't have any real administrative staff. Everything is last minute notice with them. Overall the academics is pretty good, but could be better. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone.

As a long time supporter and fan of this school, I am disappointed to say the quality and safety have diminished drastically. The teachers are still extremely dedicated but the administration appears to always be hiding 'something'. Maybe it is the quality of the building? The education is great for pre-k thru K at the risk of your child being in an unstable building.

This is my child's first year at Wynnefield, and as a parent I'm very dissatisfied with the school on a whole. The lack of communication bothers me terribly. There has not been a Spanish teacher all year and the music teacher has quit. The school has nothing to offer as far a extra curricular activities nor are they trying to rectify the problem. They stop you at the door as if it were a prison. Financially I just cant see where the money is going, the building hasn't been updated in years, the bathrooms are horrible, the cubicals are extremely small. I'm just not happy at all , if it wasn't for the education I would have pulled my child out. Needless to say we will not be there next year.

My son has been going to this school for 3 years. They have 2nd and 3rd grade together and they are forcing you to buy expencive uniforms. My son will be going to another school next year or maybe before the year is out

I was very excited for my child to attend this school. I am very pleased with the academics; however, the communication of the administration is poor. Also there isn't any extracurricular activities. My daughter loves this school, as do I, but we are actively seeking another school due to the increase in tuition.

My son has attended this school since the age of 1 years old. He has learned a lot and is very smart for his age. The academics at this school are very good but the school fails to do more with and for the children. The school is expensive monthly for what little is offered. As parents, we feel that nothing was offered to our son outside of morning and after care. The children didn't take trips often nor did the school schedule for the kids to take pictures yearly. My son is still currently attending Wynnefield, but I am actively looking for another school for my son. The education at this school is good, but we are looking for a variety for our son. The school needs to be updated.

My child has attended this school for 3 years and he has learned alot to only be 5 years old. My child is learning on a 1st grade level in kindergarten. He knows spanish and know how to read a book fron cover to cover. He's been here since the age of 2 and i think that it's amazing how much he has progressed. He speaks clearly and he has become responsible and well organized. Thank you wynnefield academy.

I loved the level of education that my child received but I was not happy with the administration. They were very bad at disseminating information. They are not equipped to operate in the 21st century. I expected more for the amount of money that I paid.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
