I attend PMA now and i have to say the teachers and higher ranking cadets are very biased. I broke a leg doing PT and i failed a project because i couldent get a pencil. All im saying is dont send your kid there unless you want to see them fail.

Your new Principal is from the other PMA and she is horrible. I wish you guys luck and pay close attention to those teachers and aids who were not there last year, Delarge is another one who works under her one of her do what ever she says followers. Do research and you will see that she has had many complaints since she began working for PMA in 2010 and before at William Penn High School. There Principal before then was great and I was very sorry to see him go

This school is horrible. They lie about what they offer, and the teachers will will lie on your child if they do not like them. My son started in the ninth grade and not one of the programs offered were actually offered. Ten teachers have left since he's been there and they all emailed me and said to get my child out if there. This school will definitely do your child an injustice if you sent them there.

Please do not send your child there unless you want them mistreated and undereducated. I am a former teacher if PMA Elverson and I was horrified at the things I have seen other educators and students do. I was robbed by a student and nothing was done to the child. I have seen teachers fail students and try to falsely add things to their personal records because of their dislike of that student. Horrible school.

Elverson is great. My child is a freshman and she loves the schiool. Security is one of the best. She has learned a great deal as far as her attitude towards other people. Elverson focuses on leadership, showing the students respect for one another. It is very inexpensive since the Military gives you mostly all that they need and they look so good and proud using that uniform. It is great.

This is an excellent school. 92% Of seniors goes to college. Students gets one and one attention, and classes are small in size. I like the discipline and the jortc program. My son loves this school.

I find that the teachers are not very knowledgeable in the area of children with learning disabilities. Discipline also seems to be a problem.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Pennsylvania used the Pennsylvania System of State Assessments (PSSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 11 in math and reading, in grades 5, 8 and 11 in writing, and in grades 4, 8 and 11 in science. The results for reading, writing, science and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The PSSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Pennsylvania. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.
