We love this school. Our kids have been so happy here. The teachers are kind, creative, fun and really good at communicating with children. The cooperative aspect is great and makes for a really strong community. If you are looking for a nurturing, child-centered school this is the place for you.

Love this school! My son went there for 2 years and I can't say enough good things about it. It is a very caring, warm place. The teachers seem to truly enjoy and believe in the importance of their work. They are constantly challenging and stimulating the kids in new ways. It is a great place.

This cooperative preschool located in a safe, lovely area of Mt. Airy has been providing a nurturing learning environment for children for over fifty years. The warm, caring, fully certified teaching staff are lead by a creative, professional director. Fellow parents are welcoming and involved. While there are many extras like cooking, science, art, and music, there is also much child-driven free play to let 'kids be kids.' The facilities include a huge fenced, outdoor play yard, as well as an auditorium for inside play during inclimate weather. The Big Backyard is an excellent option for families who have the interest and time to devote to a cooperative education experience. Applications are accepted year-round, although it is suggested that you apply a year in advance to ensure a spot.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
