The teachers are very helpful with us and give us many chances to ask questions. The principal is not the greatest nor is the vice principal. The guidance is not that great either but is positive but does not always take care of problems. We recently got a bullying program and it does not help, there are teachers out in the hall while we switch classes but they don't always see what goes on. The education is like a year behind then what it's supposed to be. It's not all that bad a school but they really need to work on some things.

I have/had 3 children in the P-O SCHOOL DISTRICT I personally do not care for the Jr. high the office staff and teachers are rude, they do not handle small situtations till it's to late and then we the parents get the blame. I began homeschooling one of my 3 children and a second one is ready to leave this school to be homeschooled as well and this is what he wants and is seriously considering it because of issues at this school. They really need to weed out some of these teachers and consider evaluating the principal as well.

Parents need to learn to stand up to the teachers and principle at this school. These are your children! The principle seems to feel he is on a high horse. Teachers can and do insult the students. I see more teachers giving negative feedback than positive feedback. If this continues, I will be homeschooling!

The principal, temporary Dean of Students and Guidance councilor are not supportive or encouraging to the children. There has been many fights in the 2003-2004 school year. Our one meeting with the principal, he stated he has no idea how to control the students. Our daughter was threatened by another student and she went to the (temporary)Dean of Students and Guidance Councilor who turned her away even though she was very upset. Superintendent stated that our daughter may not want to be in a fight but may end up that way. How safe is this school?
