For children with special needs this school is not addequate. I was told by a staff member that a lot of kids with special needs have been taken out of the school because the school isn't equipped to deal with them. The Transportation department makes K-3 walk anywhere from 1/2 mile to a mile to get to the bus no matter what the weather is like. The secretary is very abbrasive and rude to both the children and the parents. The principal is very easy to talk to, and seems to genuinely care about the students. The counselor also cares about the kids and does what she can to help them in any way. The nursing staff does not keep the parents informed if the child has an issue, other schools in the same district have excellent nurses that keep the parents informed through a call or a letter home.
