This is a top-notch school and it is evident from the performance of my two children. The teachers and staff members are highly diligent in charting the way for the students: in most cases even going the extra mile to play the role of the parents. All in all, Washington Elementary can really shape the future of students to realize their dreams. I have no doubt that my children are destine to attain their dreams of becoming surgeons.

A wonderful educational experience for our child and us. We moved our child from a private school and were amazed. The school's motto is 'the best education for each child.' Our child was given loads of individual attention from teachers, the guidance counselor, the principal, etc. He was watched and helped to integrate. His primary teacher and her assistant were on top of his transition. The school is immaculate. The principal is a younger, former reading teacher who does what is best for the child not the minimum the state requirements. Teachers respond quickly and by email and phone. There are a few old thinkers but otherwise the teachers are well trained and broad in their teaching methods. A huge negative - 29 kids in one classroom. They totally are prepared for kids with learning disabilities. Better than the two private schools we've had our children in.

This is a tremendous school, well run, and with high quality teachers. Why it ranks lower than others in the Mt.Lebanon district is beyond me other than it attracts a diverse population.
