I have submitted information contesting the student to teacher ratio in this school and it has still not been noted. Not since 2004 has either of my children been in a class of less than 23 students. In fact, my daughter attended one year when there were 29 kids in her class. The stats on this school are a farce.
There are a few excellent teachers. However, this school has a high number of tenured teachers who no longer have the interest in teaching but make very good money so continue. There is an extreme amount of homework for an elementary school as much of the teaching/learning is done by the children with the parents. PTO is not inclusive of working parents as many meetings and activities are held during work hours. Many activities (such as field trip chaperones) are limited to those who are leaders in the PTO unless they are short and need extra help.
Great school! Great teachers!
