Word of God School is a wonderful place for children to grow and learn. The children experience a real sense of community and citizenship at this school. The academics are challenging and interesting. There is also a great deal of extracurricular activities in academics, arts, sports, and service. For a small school it is amazing the diverse programming that they offer. Children who graduate from Word of God School are well prepared for advanced classes in high school, and they have a well developed sense of citizenship.

I've been involved with Word of God for 5 years and every year I become more impressed with the school. The principle is caring and understanding, the teachers are phenomenal, the curriculum gets better every year. They are willing to try new ideas or pilot a learning program if it will benefit the children. Children who graduate 8th grade are always listed on honor rolls in their jr./sr. schools. This school is diverse in many ways; inclusive programs for learning disabled and deaf children, many extracurricular activities,a fantastic music program within the school, and Seton Center comes in to teach violin. This year they started a Junior Achievement Program that benefits K-8. The PTG really kicked-off this year and hosted fun family events such as Halloween/Christmas parties, and a super bingo night, with a Silent Auction to come. Your child will get a great education here. Come see the school!

Word of God provides excellent academics for children in grades K-8. Students are above grade average in math and reading per Terra Nova scores that can be reviewed on WOG web page. Word of God partners with Western PA School for the Deaf to give students the oppurtunity to learn American Sign Language and to gain understanding about Deaf Culture. Word of God offers basketball, and partners with another school for cross country. Students in the fourth grade and above may play an instrument in band. Word of God hosts Roboclub and has won awards. Students also participate in an art show, science fair and English festival. Teachers are available to parents and offer creative ways of helping students learn. Relgious education is provided although students do not have to be cathiloc to attend. Word of God invests in the wellbeing of the students and shows how execellent education can be.
